for the Child Care Industry
Child Care Centers are required under Federal law to comply with OSHA standards for exposure to blood and body fluids containing blood. These standards are called the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standards. The standards address Universal Precautions that must be taken when there is exposure to blood or body fluids that contain visible blood.
In Michigan, the Child Care Organizations Act (1973 PA 116) requires that CPR be updated/renewed every 12 months and that first aid be updated/renewed every 36 months.
Superior Life Services offers courses specifically designed to meet the needs of Child Care Providers. The courses are Heartsaver First Aid with CPR & AED and Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens.
